Anthony Bland Sr. is also a vital part of A Bland Delta Farm, bringing decades of knowledge, leadership, and dedication as well to the land he loves. After graduating from Mississippi State University in with a Bachelors in Agronomy in 1992 and a Masters in Agronomy in 1995, he went on to work for Mississippi State University Extension Service where he worked for 26 years. As he ran the 4-H program for Tunica County, he mentored the youth spreading his love for agriculture.

Anthony Sr. began his farming career in 1998. Over the years, Anthony has brought his knowledge of Agronomy as well as everything he learned with the Extension Service to the family operation. He played a pivotal role in implementing productive and efficient practices — practices that helped maintain and flourish A Bland Delta Farm into the diverse, thriving operation it is today.

Under his guidance, he has assisted in increasing yield potential of the farm as well as introducing us to growing produce. He plants a garden of greens, okra, peas, and other produce that are open for the community to enjoy. Known for his generosity, joyful spirit, and vast knowledge of agriculture and its practices, Anthony continues to grow more than just our crops but also, love for the land.
